Audit-grade EdTech Analytics: How Does Your School Measure Up?
Would you be shocked to learn that at one 1:1 school, administrators discovered 10% of students never used their school-issued laptops? The school sure was. They didn't even know about their critical usage gap until they started tracking their digital resources. What's even more shocking is the vast majority of schools have no system in place to track the usage of their edtech assets. You wouldn't drive a car without a speedometer - why would you spend millions on laptops and other edtech devices without a way to measure their effectiveness? Join the president and CEO of LabStats, Stephen Loosli, as he walks you through case studies of how analytics from EduTrends have helped district technology leaders create the most equitable and efficient edtech ecosystems they can.

Blended Learning, Reform Based Math, and Beyond
As I tried to implement flipped instruction, I identified areas where flipped instruction conflicted with what I believe math instruction should be, inquiry in nature. This presentation shows how I came to a solution and implemented online math discussions in a fourth grade classroom. I found students participated in conversations that had deep mathematical thinking, and demonstrated understanding far better than traditional homework.

Creativity in the Cloud - Multimedia Authoring Across Devices
As we help students move from information consumption to content production, how do you find solutions that are easy to learn, easy to manage, and publish student work for authentic learning and powerful assessments?
The objective of this presentation is to introduce educators to open-device options of Wixie, a comprehensive cloud-based solution for writing, creating, assessing, and sharing.
Wixie allows students to combine many of the best features of popular Web 2.0 tools to extend learning beyond the four walls of the classroom. Wixie’s powerful authoring component, combined with a learning management system that is accessible to a wide range of integration abilities, and student saving and sharing make creating, sharing, and assessing online an integral part of the learning process, all on a wide range of devices!
Participants in this session will:
• Gain a clear sense of the benefits of creating and constructing knowledge on a variety of devices, but in the same tool.
• Explore examples of how Wixie has been used in the classroom to engage students in content, to provide additional opportunities for practice as well as extension, and to foster creativity, innovation, and higher-order thinking skills.
• Learn how the tools and administrative functions in Wixie provide an easy way for educators to assess student learning in an open device network.
• Leave with a better understanding of how to implement, assess, and support student-centered authoring.
